The Sealcoat Foreman will supervise the Sealcoat crew in construction of quality asphalt pavements on project(s) assigned to them. The Sealcoat Foreman will be responsible for achieving optimum utilization of the equipment, material, and labor, thus, maximizing production and minimizing costs of the assigned division. All of this is to be accomplished in conjunction with practicing ethical business transactions, adhering to the company policies, values and beliefs while pursuing the company's short- and long-term goals.

The Sealcoat Foreman is also responsible for the training and performance of all assigned subordinates on the Sealcoat crew. Foreman will be responsible for job performance with on time arrivals, high quality projects, and maintaining overall customer satisfaction while on job.

Sealcoat Foreman Responsibilities:

  • Training and monitoring performance of your crew members.
  • Maintaining efficient and effective communication with Division Manager and General Manager.
  • Instill positive teamwork within the crew through communication.
  • Ability to lead a crew of 5-10 individuals.
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction while on site. This includes maintaining a punctual and clean crew on site.
  • Daily equipment inspections prior to each operation. Complete small repairs as needed.
  • Communication with Shop for any larger repairs that may be needed.
  • Working with others as a team.
  • Performing strenuous work during hot or cold weather.
  • Physically fit, reliable, and capable of working long hours.
  • Complete all work in a quality manner.

Construction Laborer Requirements:

  • 1-2 years' experience in sealcoat or related construction.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Self-driven individual.
  • Ability to read plans is a requirement.
  • Highly detail-oriented individual.

The salary range for this position is $20-30 per hour depending on experience.
